Temi Raphaelova

   Since 2014 the bulgarian soprano singer Temi Raphaelova is member of the Dresden Residence Orchestra.She appears successfully in various concerts  in the Marmorsaal of Dresdener Zwinger with her rich repertoire of opera-, operetta- an concertarias, as well songs,lieder,musical, chansons etc.  Presently she sings in the new production "Zauberflöte mal anders" too.

Temi Raphaelova is born 1968 in Pleven, Bulgaria. She began her musical training at the music high school in her hometown by learning transverse flute. Until graduation, she also attended the conservatory in Casablanca (Morocco) and the music high school of Sofia. Afterwards she appeared as a pop singer and bass-guitarist until starting her studies at the music academy of Sofia at Ivanka Ninova. While continuing her studies at the university of art in Graz at Prof. Agathe Kania and later Prof. Claudia Rüggeberg, she debuted at the opera of Graz as 1st vergin in „Moses and Aaron“ (Schönberg) and as Konstanze in „The Abduction from the Seraglio“ (Bad Radkersburg).

 

Further she visited master classes for bel canto at Virginia Zeani and baroque singing at Jill Feldmann and in this context she acted Daphne (Daphne in Lauro-J.J. Fux- Stefaniensaaal Graz). In the productions of the opera studio of the art university Graz she appeared as Queen of the night (The Magic Flute), Olympia/Antonia/Giulietta (Hoffmann´s Narrations), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Madame Heart (The director of Play), Vitellia (Titus) and Scollatella (King Deer-H. Henze).On tour in Germany (Leonberg, Schweinfurt, Ruesselsheim) and Switzerland (Vevey, Neuchatel, Zug, Baden) with the ensemble of the operas Cluj and Craiova (Romania), she sang Oscar (Un ballo in maschera), the title part of Lucia di Lammermoor, Norina (Don Pascuale) and Adina ( L´elisir d´amore).

 

She is laureate of several singing competition for example: Giovan Battista Vellutit-Venice, Ferrucio Taglavini-Deutschlandsberg and so on. After winning the first prize at the international singing competition „Ondina Otta“ in Maribor-Slovenia, she appeared as Olympia at the opera house of Maribor in April 2005. In the same year she appeared as queen of the night in St. Pölten-Austria and Eisenach-Germany. During the Lausiter opera summer 2000 (Cottbus), she sang Leonore in Gretry´s opea L´amant jaloux. In 2002 she appearead as Leonora (Trovatore-G. verdi) at the opera festival of Miskolc.

 

Concert performances in Den Haag, Eindhoven, Utrecht and others followed as well. Having engagements in Brünn singing Lucia and later Olympia/Antonia/Giulietta followed by singing this role with the ensembles in February 2007 in Alicante, Malaga, Burgos and Vitoria (Spain). Since October 2006 she is ensemble member of the Theater of Erfurt, appearing already as Marguerite Duhmenil (Operaball-Heruberger), Sophie (The Rose Cavalier) and Lucia di Lammermoor and again as Rosina (Barbiere di Seviglia).

 

In May 2008 she made her debut at the National Opera in Sofia in the main role of the Opera Lakme by Leo Delibes. In November 2009 she was on tour in germany and played the role of the Baroness Freimann in Lortzings opera "Der Wildschütz " with the Opera Ensemble, Chorus and Orchestra of Craiova Romania. In March 2010 she had her debut as Gilda in the opera "Rigoletto" at the theater Vevey, Switzerland. That same year she also had her role debut as Violetta Valery in Schweinfurt and Fulda. She sang the soprano part at the Opera Graz premiere of Monoopera "The Diary of Anne Frank" in June 2011.

 

 She participated in several recitals by singing soprano parts in Stabat mater (Pergolesi), Exultate Jubilate (Mozart), Carmina burana (C.Orff), Cronation fair (Mozart) and others. Song Cycles: Seven early songs (Alban Berg), 2 poems and 3 japanese verses of I. Strawinsky, chansons de Ronsard of Darius Milhaud (for voice and orchestra), the Shepard on the rock and other songs of Schubert, as well as songs of Hugo Wolf, Richard Straus, Pantscho Vladiguerov, Tschaikovski, Rachmaninoff and others.

 

 While working with the Bulgarian broadcast orchestra, she sang several arias and duet's from operas, for example: Lucia di Lammermoor, Candid, Lakme, The Rose Cavalier, The Magic Flute, Hoffmann´s narrations, Ariadne of Naxos, Arabella and Hitar Petar (recorded under the supervision of Ivan Marinov, Karl-Heinz Knobloch, Ivan Palikarov and others).

 Collaboration with the conductors Kari-Lynn Wilson, Walter Gugelbauer, Enrico Calesso, Joji Hattori, Jan Stych, Vadim Münster, Samuel Bächli, Arturo Tamayo, Georgi Dimitrov and others. Further working together with directors Robert Tannenbaum, Christian Pöppelreiter, Vera Nemirova, Plamen Kartaloff and others.
